SUBCONTRACT MANAGEMENT GROUP

In order to serve the professional Acquisition community better the Institute for Supply Management supports individual Forums and Groups for segments of the membership involved in particular industries. The Federal Acquisition & Subcontract Group (FASMG) is one such entity which serves those members involved in Supply Management as well as procurement related to government agencies.

Membership in this group is free and is one of the benefits of your membership in ISM. All you need do is sign up (“join us”) on our website at: http://www.fasmg.org and we will forward information of interest to you and your colleagues.

What will you get for your membership?

· Membership in one of the fastest growing ISM Groups.

· Membership in “the” FASMG Group whose diverse membership base is actively involved at various stages including prime/subcontract level of contracting for goods, software, and/or services for ultimate use by federal, state, or local governments. Procurement that involves domestic materials as well as in the international market including those involving various federal governmental regulations, e.g. FAR and DFARS. Finally, the all important impact where “commercial terms and conditions and processes” sometimes find their “genesis” by being involved where hundreds of billions of dollars are committed each year by the federal government….

· FASMG will continue to host workshops and conferences in various convenient locations in the country for ISM affiliates, etc.

· FASMG is in the final part of developing a Speakers Roster as an adjunct to the ISM Speakers Roster.

· As the website develops there will be a site to pose questions and get answers from others involved in government procurement.

· Networking will be made available at future International ISM Conferences.

· FASMG will continue to sponsor workshops of interest at each International Conference.
